We urge you to stay with us because today we have an extremely useful topic, namely: Obtaining the residence permit in the Republic of Moldova based on foreign investment.
The Republic of Moldova is becoming more and more attractive for foreigners - as a space for initiation and development of business.
First of all, the foreign citizen who wants to set up a legal entity on the territory of the Republic of Moldova and to obtain a residence permit as a foreign investor, must enter Moldova in compliance with the legal conditions.
Depending on the country of origin, some foreign citizen can enter Moldova only on the basis of long-stay visa of type D. As mentioned in the previous video, the applications of visa of type D are submitted exclusively to diplomatic missions and consular offices of the Republic Moldova.
However, after registering the legal entity at Public Services Agency, check that you meet all the legal conditions to apply for the right of residence based on foreign investments.
The question arises who has the right to request to apply for a residence permit and under what conditions.
The granting of the right of temporary residence on the basis of foreign investment may be requested by:
Ø  The associate or shareholder of a legal entity with foreign investments established in the Republic of Moldova.
The conditions for granting the right of residence based on investments are:
1. The total value of the share capital/shares of the legal person must be at least 60 average monthly salaries per economy forecast for the current year.
For 2021 year, the average monthly salary in the economy is set at 8716 lei. So the minimum amount of investments is: 522960 lei , which is about 25 000 EUR.
2. Another way is if the legal person has created at least 4 jobs, with normal working hours and with the average monthly salary per economy forecast for the current year.
Once you have determined that you meet all the necessary conditions, you must prepare the set of documents to submit to the Bureau of Migration and Asylum of the Republic of Moldova.
Within 15 calendar days from the date of submission of the set of documents, the BMA will issue the decision on granting the right of residence. This is followed by the documentation stage and lifting of the residence permit.
It is important that the period of granting the right to stay on the territory of the Republic of Moldova will depend exclusively on the value of investments or jobs created. The minimum period of validity of the residence permit is 2 years and the maximum is 8 years.
